And so starts another World Series in the baseball realm. Frankly, I can’t side a team just yet but many people, including experts, believe the World Series 2010 was made for the Texas Rangers. Okay the San Francisco Giants bagged Game 1, romantic. I guess that was just a good World Series start for the Giants who don’t know this thing called winning.
Now, why was the World Series Game 1 interesting? First of all, there was Texas Rangers’ Cliff Lee. I like calling him the lord of the mount. Cliff Lee faced off with Tim Lincecum on a pitcher’s battle fury. Cliff Lee knocked out, giving the Giants their lead 11-7. I can’t still grasp it, how the Giants can make six runs with three homers at the fifth inning? And so, World Series 2010 Game 1 belongs to the San Francisco Giants.
Does that mean that Lincecum was better than Lee? Not quite. But for this game at the World Series 2010, he pitched well –not that I know everything about what pitching well means. And so Game 1 of the World Series 2010 went, not a pretty ending for the Rangers. I bet Cliff Lee is still thinking what happened there. He and millions of his fans. Well, it is a ballgame and nobody can predict a ballgame.
And then there was Freddy Sanchez who did very well. I remember he was just an average fellow but during the first game at the World Series, he came out with an incredible performance. We could say more than expected.
And so Game 2 of this World Series 2010 becomes even more interesting. Now that the San Francisco Giants revved up, it is time for the Texas Rangers to catch up. Let us just say that the Rangers were caught unaware at Game 1. Nonetheless, the Texas Rangers would have to do whatever it takes to stay away from a 0-2.
