Dallas Cowboys Tony Romo is suffering from a broken clavicle and may take a holiday for the rest of the season. Tony Romo was replaced by Jon Kitna when the former was injured during Monday’s game versus the New York Giants.

Tony Romo was sent to the ground by linebacker Michael Boley during the first half. And the Cowboys were bummed. For how long, we cannot know for sure. And it’s not even about Jon Kitna, the Dallas Cowboys are rallying behind Kitna.

The clavicle, more commonly known as the collarbone is the bone at the top of your chest. This is mainly covered with skin, not flesh thus susceptible to injury during a harsh game of football.

Like Tony Romo, people who have broken clavicle will suffer from shoulder pain and with difficulty of moving the arm. I don’t know about Tony Romo’s case but most broken clavicle doesn’t require surgery –just rest. Something that Tony Romo or the Cowboys cannot afford just yet. Nobody wants to rest when your team is at the bottom ten in the league.

Romo has been wearing a sling from time of injury and that’s how most clavicle injuries are treated. If I am correct, most clavicle injuries will heal in 10 to 12 weeks.

But the Dallas Cowboys are already struggling this season and the loss to injury of Tony Romo means this could be the start of nightmare season. We all know that if there is anything that means Cowboys that is Tony Romo. Well, the show must go on. Fans hope that things will go well with the Dallas Cowboys planned offense without Tony Romo.

Next week Cowboys versus the Jaguars. I hope this would not be a scene where we see the Cowboys crumbing down. But many believe that the loss of Tony Romo is the least of the Cowboys problems. There is ofcourse, Jerry Jones. But that is in all, a different story.
