Season 7, Episode 13 is just about it for Medium. The DuBois family is changed, Allison becomes a lawyer and Joe starts a new job. Titled Me Without You is the series finale of Medium.
There goes Joe and Allison. Next to Mulder and Scully of X-Files and Maddie and David of Moonlighting, Joe and Allison are just beautiful together.
So after seven years and 130 episodes, Medium bids farewell. The DuBois Allison and Jake bid farewell, their children and friends.
In this final Medium episode, Joe’s plane crashes and he dies. I can’t believe it! Joe is dead? It left me shaken and sad and needed to be cuddled. Hot cocoa will work too. I mean, I was stunned as Medium has a decent following. Seven years the show lingers on and eludes TV tragedies only to come up to this. Maybe it’s the loving family life and the reality of the problems the family go through. What I like about Medium is it is family centered and I love the relationship Joe and Allison has.
Allison begins to dreams about her husband and grasps that he has been alive. But Joe indeed dies in this episode of Medium. His wife cannot just accept the fact.
The scene of Medium takes us back 41 years later. We see a very old Allison. She dies as well. I am sorry I watched. And Joe returned for her. And they kiss well, that is it. The episode ended with casts saying their good byes.
The broken-hearted fans of Medium are leaving their comments everywhere. They don’t buy it why it comes to a sudden halt. And that final episode is bittersweet.
So there you go. No more season 8. Medium star Patricia Arquette said, “It’s been a great time. I love that time in my life.”
