I don’t have a clue as to what a good race is. But Daytona 500 2×2 pair is not racing. I am not a fan but my friend slash protégé Luke is. He carts me to whatever sports he is going. And lately he dragged me to the Daytona 500. I don’t know about the other fans but that is the last Daytona I will ever attend (but then again, I always say that). It is a shame to be a fan watching racing in pairs. Luke is not talking but I think he wasn’t having fun either. Boring Daytona 500 altogether.
But congratulations to Trevor Bayne, winner of the 2011 Daytona 500. At age 20, Trevor Bayne becomes the youngest driver to win the race. He said he started racing at age 5 (with go-karts, of course) and continued to race go-karts for eight more years. In 2008, Trevor Bayne signed a contract with Dale Earnhardt Inc. to race in NASCAR. And in the Daytona 500 first season, he was declared the winner. And that was such a nice birthday gift to self as Trevor Bayne just celebrated his birthday. And his hefty paycheck cum birthday gift? $1,463,813!
With that purse, Trevor Bayne is not about to retire just yet. One thing is for sure: portion of that winning is going to foundations and ministries that he support. He supports Back2Back, an independent Christian charity among many. That makes Trevor Bayne a winner in my book. Congratulations, my man! Good to know that there are still people from your generation who knows how to give back.
Now going back, some problems occurring, according to Luke, are upcoming NASCAR schedules. Las Vegas Nevada, Phoenix Arizona, Fontana, Texas –tracts that are unbelievably boring. Well, we will see about that, that is if ever I am going back to the tracks.
